About Third Base

As you travel down Austin's famous 6th street, headed home or on the go, there's something new in town you simply can't miss. Third Base is more than just the best sports bar in Austin. We offer a full service restaurant kitchen, open daily until midnight -- a fantastic selection of bar food like wings, Philly cheese steak rolls, and award winning Mama Beavers Chilli -- and that's just the beginning. Browse on to find steaks and tuna, a fantastic selection of salads, pasta entrees and huge deli sandwiches and burgers -- something to please any big appetite. Our dining room features comfortable seating for two or twenty or more, and is available for private functions up to 300 people as well. We have tons of free covered parking for your convenience located in a covered parking garage just above us.

Hanging out at Third Base just comes naturally. You can't say we're not easy to get to. Just head West on 6th Street until you get to Mopac. Watch for us on the left. To get into the parking garage take the u-turn that would take you back to 5th Street. The entrance to our monster 300+ car garage is right there on your left. Parking is always free, always plentiful and always covered. Pouring rain? Leave your umbrella at home. Ride the elevator on the East end of the garage down to the ground level and walk right in our back door.

Once you walk in the door and are greeted to the sights of our 36 high definition widescreen TVs (don't forget about our new patio TVs), you know you're where all big time sports fans want to be. Plasmas everywhere you look and free Wi-Fi access let you get dialed into your favorite team at any time. As you take a seat at our hand constructed stone walled, Texas Mesquite topped bar, the comfort level becomes even more apparent. The staff are ready to make that atmosphere even better, with fantastic service, great Happy Hour and nightly drink specials , and a genuine friendly attitude that let's you know you're right at home.
